An inspiring and creative science / art workshop studying the way light is affected by mirrors, lenses and prisms. Through a series of guided experiments, students can:

  • discover the angle of reflection

  • split and bend white light into a colour spectrum using prisms and lenses

  • construct a periscope and kaleidoscope using the angle of reflection

  • explore light sensitive material using UV torches and templates

  • road test the upside-down goggles that use mirrors and prisms to create their effect

Full workshop is 1 hour.  Suitable for 7-13 years
